WHY WE ARE DIFFERENT
As a solo physician practice with a staff of allied health professionals, The Herrick Orthopaedic Clinic can insure the highest quality of care with a custom team in the office, as well as in the operating room. We take into account the questions-and the variables-in the healing process to closely monitor your care every step of the way.
Our perspective and approach is influenced by the research we conduct on an ongoing basis-from pioneering work in cartilage regeneration and replacement to ligament repair and surgical instrumentation.
We have found that most injuries can be treated without surgical intervention. Based on the diagnosis, the surgeon and the therapists implement a customized rehabilitation training program designed to be performed at home, gym or health club. The massage therapist may be used for treatment. Depending on the nature of the injury, exercise, braces, orthotics or medication, chiropractic care, physical therapy or other modalities may be prescribed. The Herrick Orthopaedic Clinic has found continuous passive motion (CPM), electrical stimulation and ice compression can also be helpful in speeding recovery.
If surgery is required, most operations are performed at the outpatient surgery facility where Dr. Herrick and his surgical team have developed extensive expertise.
